Overview

The Virginia Beach Arena Project invites proposals for exclusive naming rights to our new state-of-the-art, 20,000-seat multipurpose arena located at 19th and Birdneck Virginia Beach. This RFP seeks a forward-thinking partner whose brand will become synonymous withinnovation, entertainment, and community impact. The selected partner will secure naming rights to the only major arena in Virginia Beach, a landmark destination projected to host over 2 million annual visitors and generate $20–30 million in annual economic impact.

 

Partnership Vision

We are open to all proposals from global brands to leading local companies but will prioritize creative integration and long-term partnership value over pure financial terms. Our goal is to build adeep, immersive brand partnership. The selected partner will not only have their name on the building,but will have the opportunity to develop a dedicated themed experience inside the arena. Example: If “Coke Arena” were selected, a full Coca-Cola Lounge could be developed, featuring branded products,décor, and interactive experiences. For “Tesla Arena,” an Electric Innovation Zone could showcaseTesla’s energy, auto, and technology innovations. This partnership represents more than naming rights—it is a platform for permanent brand storytelling woven into the venue’s identity.

 

Eligible Companies

 

We welcome proposals from both national and regional brands. Top national prospects include: Meta,TikTok, X, YouTube, Tesla, Celsius, Prime, Amazon, Nvidia, and Apple. Top regional prospectsinclude: ADS, Mythics, Dollar Tree, QED, Amerigroup, and AGI. All other qualified brands are encouraged to submit proposals.

 

Partnership Benefits

The selected Naming Rights Partner will receive: • Exclusive naming rights to the arena for the contract term. • Prominent signage on exterior, roof, concourse, and event media. • Integration into all official marketing, digital, and broadcast assets. • Inclusion in press, media, and event materials. • Arena hospitality suite(s) and VIP access. • Rights to co-develop a branded section or themed experience. •Optional community engagement, innovation, or sustainability programs.Partnership Term & Financial ProposalTerm: Minimum of 10 years preferred; shorter or longer terms negotiable. Value: Open to all bids. We will negotiate lower cash terms for partners with global or high-prestige brands whose involvementstrengthens the arena’s identity and marketability.

 

Proposal Requirements

Proposals must include: 1. Company Overview: Brand history, mission, and market presence. 2.Proposed Arena Name: Suggested naming style (e.g., “Tesla Arena,” “Celsius Center”). 3. Financial Offer: Proposed total value, payment structure, and term length. 4. Creative Integration Vision: How your brand would activate the partnership (e.g., themed section, fan experiences, product tie-ins). 5.Community Impact Plan: Commitment to local engagement, sustainability, or education

Proposals will be evaluated based on: • Brand alignment with the Arena’s vision and values. • Creative integration potential and fan engagement. • Financial value and term. • Commitment to the Virginia Beach community. • Long-term partnership vision.
